In Memory of Lily

There has been a generous donation by Gayle Kemp to Tri State Shepherd Rescue in memory of the passing of beloved Lily, who was physically the blessed best friend, loyal companion and loving family member for 11 years to Danielle Brabson, and who is now and always will be her treasured canine soulmate.

We at Tri State Shepherd Rescue are grieving your loss and thank you for providing Lily with such a loving heart and home.

Years ago some of our volunteers rescued a pregnant purebred gsd from South Carolina, due to be killed. She arrived at her foster and almost simultaneously gave birth to a litter of ELEVEN puppies, 10 solid black 1 pure white. They survived and grew. They needed all sorts of food, attention, play and frequent baths. The kitchen became the shower room, puppies squirming, sliding, shaking water off, drinking the water. One of those lucky pups was this beautiful, dignified glorious girl Maci. Maci passed a couple of months ago, leaving a huge hole in her family. She was the best friend to all. She is what makes rescue worth the efforts.

We at Tri State Shepherd Rescue honor Maci as one we were able to save, love and who loved back so much more.
