BUGS!!! (Oakley)

About:

Bugs (Oakley) is a Dutch shepherd who is starting our New Year and his!!!  Bug is short for cuddle bug.  He is the epitome of a glue dog and so wants affection and to give affection to his family.  He is very friendly with people and likes other dogs better with calmer laid back dogs.  He has a great reason.

Bugs is fragile to a degree.  He had been hit by a car and brought to Penn Vet Hospital by the police.  Penn donated the time and resources to mend him. No owner came forward.  He had a head injury and a spinal injury.  One of the fabulous vets fostered him through recovery.  He was brought to the hospital everyday when she worked and LOVED everyone.  He is healing well according to their records and our own vet.  He has a head tilt and likely a vision issue on the one side but he is otherwise walking and loving everyone and playing and lying down.  He prefers the couch potato position.  He loves chewing on bones and will do so for hours.  He loves the car and walks I the park.   He is utd on shots, HW neg and will be neutered.  He does right now have some separation anxiety for his human fosters but is on medication which helps well.  Once adopted this likely will subside.

The only time he broke out of a crate was to go sleep with the foster cats.

He is a gentle and kind soul with medium to low energy.  He is about 3 yo from our vet.  If you have ever loved a Dutch shepherd they will follow you everywhere.  Bugs is that in spades.  There is nothing better that a sweet gentle soul as this.  Please apply to foster to adopt or adopt.
