About:

Abe is a HUGE gsd likely a mix., perhaps with great dane  When thin he was over a hundred pounds.  To us he has been very easy to care for especially once he learned his routine.  He likes to lope in the yard and he will chase a toy but is not much of a fetcher nor does he sustain a long run.  He came to us as a stray but knowing sit and shake and come.  He probably knows down but does not know us well enough to do that yet; it being a sign of submission.  He certainly knows his size and likely can be dominant but has shown no signs of needing to do that with us.  He gets along with other dogs generally.  Because he is large he makes people nervous.  Then he can get nervous and so on.  Abe needs to go to an experienced gsd person who knows managing a dog his size.  He would be great on a farm and would likely have no fear of horses.  🙂   He is low to medium energy.  If you might be interested in giving a home to Abe we can set up a time to meet him.
