HIS DESCRIPTION READS:
Knight is a sweet and energetic 1-year-old German Shepherd looking for a loving foster home while his owners transition to a new military post overseas. His owners plan to bring him over with them in a year*, but Knight needs a foster from April 26, 2025, until April 26, 2026. Located in Yorktown, VA, they are willing to transport within an 8-hour radius to find the perfect foster family for this happy boy.
Knight is a 75-pound, medium-energy German Shepherd with a playful, affectionate, and goofy personality. He’s house and crate-trained and semi-leash trained. Knight sleeps soundly in his crate at night, but he needs to be crated when left alone, as he can get a little anxious. While he’s good on a leash, he does tend to pull when excited, especially if he spots another dog or something that catches his attention on walks. Knight is also great with people, children, cats, and other dogs. While he’s never lived with children, he’s had experience with them and has always been friendly, though he might not realize how big he is and could accidentally knock little ones over when jumping. He’s also been raised with cats and enjoys playing with them, though they may not always be up for his playful antics.
