About:
Shushi is our distinguished German shepherd gentleman of medium energy. We were told he is 8 and about 80 pounds but we would have put him around 5 or 6 y.o. particularly judging from his temperament and positive energy. He is UTD on shots, neutered and generally healthy. He was surrendered by his family for their lack of a home which had him feeling lost. He is a typical, strong GSD but complies with commands and has a soft spot for his favorite people. He knows basic commands and walks on a leash acceptably. When we first met Shu, he tried to shake with both paws to show off his skills. He loves his fenced yard. Shu is always to an extent alert, but that is the shepherd in him. He plays his share of fetch and yes returns the toy for another throw. He is housebroken and crate trained. He has clearly lived in a home and is not destructive. He does have a stiff hip in colder weather but is energetic and generally strong. He is friendly particularly to people he attaches to and will tolerate dogs but is not a play group kind of guy. He loves the woods, sitting on his deck and his toys. He relishes having a routine and learns quickly what is expected. Shu is a great GSD example looking for a family in his retirement. Older dogs are a gift. Sush is for sure. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our site.
